What is an ACID number ?
The ACID (advance cargo information declaration) number is generated by the Egyptian customs platform, NAFEZA, once the Egyptian importer registers the import shipment. It is a unique 19-digit number and is provided by a customs clearing agent or freight forwarder situated in Egypt. When booking a vehicle to be shipped from the UK to Egypt, you must supply is with this unique Acid number and provide the documentation so that the shipping line can validate it first. Without the ACID number, the shipping line will not allow us to ship your car.
